My Perspective: Sunday Morning Shadows

By | February 25, 2018

She sits silhouetted in the early morning light bathed in shadows.

Our bedroom window faces south so the early morning light that filters in is a soft subdued light.
Myself I like it as it eases the morning wake up, although some days it is difficult to tell the exact time by the amount of natural light in the room.

Most weekends I am up before Kayla, it is her luxury to sleep in on the weekends and I don’t blame her.
I would as well and sometimes I do.

But for her I do my best to let her sleep.

Many times I will quietly try to slip back into the bedroom and crawl back under the sheets with her on those lazy Sundays.
Sometimes she is already awake and I am greeted with her bathed in the early morning shadows.

Wrapped in the morning shadows.

The morning shadows wrap around her as she rises to greet the day.
