A friend sent me this over the weekend and I have watched it a number of times now.
Each time I watch my reaction is the same.
It’s powerful, very powerful.
It speaks to me because in part I’ve been there.
I’ve been bullied when I was young for being different.
I’ve known people who don’t feel beautiful or worthy.
Also there was a time when I was young that I was also the bully as much as I hate to admit it.
It is about how something as innocuous as a shared joke between two people can be misconstrued by someone looking in.
The first video is the one created for the To This Day Project.
The second one is a live speaking and is worth watching just for Shane’s intro
The third is an interview with Shane talking about the project.
A warning, have tissue handy when watching.
It is very powerful. I’m glad that you showed this to us.
Yes it is, couldn’t help but share it.
Thank you for sharing.
Wordwytch… the fat brainy kid with a weird first name.
As one who started out in NYC and then moved to a small upstate town, I was the outsider and considered different. ((HUGS))
